The End of an Era: Mr. Harry van der Wals

Posted 1 year ago

Harry wasn't just any founder; he was the heart and soul of the OGMIOS foundation. As an exceptional jurist, he possessed unparalleled knowledge of the law and a fervent passion for justice. His sharp intellect and analytical prowess made him one of the most esteemed figures in his field. Yet, it was his warmth, charisma, and unwavering integrity that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The OGMIOS foundation was Harry's magnum opus. Under his guidance, the foundation blossomed into a stronghold of justice and integrity. But as with all great leaders, it wasn't just his professionalism that left an impression; it was his humanity. He had an incredible ability to listen, to understand, and to care. For Harry, every member of the foundation was family.

News of his passing spread swiftly, and the entire community mourned. But as Harry often remarked, "Life goes on, and we must continue to fight for what's right." In that spirit, the torch was passed on.

Samir Abdalla, co-founder of OGMIOS, will appoint Niels Groeneveld, a young, dynamic, and dedicated cybersecurity professional, as treasurer. Niels always held profound respect for Harry and was resolute in continuing his legacy. His financial acumen and passion for the foundation's mission made him the ideal choice. Samir Abdalla would carry on the role of chairman in Harry's stead.

Mirjam Winsser, a brilliant and driven woman, would assume the role of Secretary. Her organizational skills and her ability to bring people together ensured that the foundation would continue to thrive in this new chapter.

As the OGMIOS foundation embarked on a new chapter, one thing remained unchanged: the spirit of Harry van der Wals. His vision, values, and love for justice lived on in the foundation's work.

On a chilly winter evening, the members of the OGMIOS foundation gathered to commemorate Harry. As they shared stories and reminisced, a sense of unity and determination prevailed. They were committed to keeping Harry's dream alive and making the world a better place.

And so, as the sun dipped below the horizon and stars graced the sky, it became clear that Harry's light would never truly fade. It would continue to shine in the work of the OGMIOS foundation, in the hearts of those who knew him, and in the many lives he touched.

Signs of the End Times: A Reality We Shouldn’t Ignore

These days, as the world is filled with chaos, natural disasters, wars, and strange diseases, many people wonder: are we nearing the end times? Could these events be the very signs our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) warned us about?

We must understand that the signs of the end times, according to authentic Islamic teachings, are divided into two categories: minor signs and major signs.

Minor Signs: What We Are Living Through Today

In reality, most of the minor signs have already happened. The first minor sign was the revelation of Islam to our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), bringing God’s final message to humanity.

Since then, other minor signs have continued to appear, including:
• Wars, both large and small, in many parts of the world;
• Natural disasters and repeated earthquakes;
• New diseases that never existed before;
• General confusion and chaos in human societies.

We are now living among these minor signs, seeing and experiencing them almost daily.

Major Signs: What Has Yet to Happen

However, the major signs—which are ten in total—have not yet appeared. Among the most important of them are:
• The appearance of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him), who will establish justice on earth;
• The emergence of the Antichrist (Dajjal), misleading many people;
• The descent of Prophet Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him), who will join Imam Mahdi to fight Dajjal and destroy his army of 70,000;
• After that, other major signs will follow, until finally, all true believers will pass away, and only non-believers will remain to witness the final great earthquake that ends life on earth.

Will We Witness These Major Signs?

Personally, I believe that you and I will not witness these major signs. Why? Because with Allah, one day is like a thousand years for us humans. Perhaps these events will come much later than we expect.

What Should Our Focus Be?

In truth, constantly thinking about the details and timing of the end times is not beneficial. What matters more is our duty as Muslims today. Our role is to invite others to Islam—with love and kindness. Not by force, but through good character and gentle speech.

Islam is a religion for all of humanity. It is our mission to share this beautiful message with those around us.

The Reality of Today’s World

Today, our enemy is not Dajjal or his army of 70,000. The real problem is the chaos, injustice, and oppression we see all around us, while those who should stand up for goodness and defend the weak, sadly remain silent.

In this world full of trials, it is upon us to spread kindness, invite people to reflect on the truth, and show them the right path—each of us, in our own way.

Final Words

Some may think knowing every detail about the Day of Judgment is important. But more important is using your life wisely—here and now. Religion is not just about knowing; it’s about action, behavior, and inviting others to the truth.

Let us not repeat the mistakes of old religious institutions that kept people in ignorance. Instead, let us guide people, invite them kindly, and allow the light of Islam to enter their hearts.

In the end, we ask Allah to guide you, me, and all of humanity towards goodness, protect us from harm, and fill our hearts with His light.
