Gelderse zorgondernemers zetten schijnconstructies in om miljoenen aan zorggeld te cashen

Follow the Money en KRO-NCRV’s Pointer en Reporter Radio deden opnieuw gezamenlijk onderzoek naar hoge winsten bij zorgbedrijven, nu over het jaar 2018. Dat leverde een lijst op met 85 zorgbedrijven die structureel hoge winst boekten en voorbeelden van slimme trucs waarmee zorggeld buiten beeld verdwijnt. Ook Teun en Joke Kaptein, oude bekenden van FTM, kwamen bovendrijven; eerder trokken ze 1,5 miljoen euro uit zorgbedrijf De Karmel. De Karmel is inmiddels geëvolueerd tot de Albero Zorggroep, een ingewikkelde geldmachine, waarlangs opnieuw aanzienlijke sommen zorggeld wegvloeien naar de aandeelhouders. ‘De wet moet worden aangepast om dit soort handige jongens aan te pakken,’ zegt minister Hugo de Jonge.
